Dr Greg Lavery, General Secretary
An Engineer by training, with a Doctorate in sustainable buildings, Dr Lavery is a Director of Rype Office (office furniture remanufacturing).
Dr Lavery built Australia’s largest solar photovoltaic retailing business, Origin Solar, and has assisted some of the world’s leading organisations to create innovative sustainable business models, including Masdar City, Interface, Shell and ClimateWorks Australia.
Dr Lavery is a regular speaker on the Circular Economy at conferences and is guest lecturer at Imperial College London, Judge Business School, and the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

Mr Martin Thorburn, Council Member
Mr Thorburn brings over 30 years of experience in the office furniture sector as the Director of Barkham Office Furniture (furniture refurbishment and remanufacturing).
Mr Richard Ryll, Council Member
Mr Ryll enjoyed extensive experience in the office clearance sector before starting Clear Environment (office clearance) 10 years ago and subsequently leading Recycled Business Furniture (furniture reuse and refurbishment).
Mr Rufus Hirsh, Council Member
Mr Hirsch leads Evolve Relocation and ReThink Office Furniture, two divisions of Clearance Solutions Ltd dedicated to the practical delivery of office furniture reuse. With over 15 years’ experience in sustainable office clearances and relocations, Mr Hirsch has built systems that allow FM and fit-out clients to decommission workplaces responsibly, recover assets efficiently, and redeploy or resell furniture at scale.
